In order to register your Ecobee thermostat, you are required to obtain the 4-digit registration code from your Ecobee thermostat’s screen. This is how you get the code on the screen.
NOTE: Registration codes expire within an hour time. So, if the code expires, re-generate the code.
So as you get the code, register your Ecobee via the mobile app or the web portal.
Note: You can leave the address field as blank and select the "Save home" option. The app allows you to set the address later.
