With limited options available, it becomes difficult to enjoy all the features the PS4 has to offer. Even while launching the PlayStation 4, Sony announced that it won’t support A2DP that includes Bluetooth devices. Sony did this to avoid any kind of lag that might accompany the Bluetooth devices.

1. Supported Earphones: 

If the Bluetooth device you use is not supported by PS4, you can use the one that it supports. You can check the information package of the headset that you buy. It will be mentioned whether or not the headset supports the headset. But in addition to this, you could try pairing the ones available with you. 

  • Turn on the Bluetooth headset and allow it to establish the connection. 
  • Under the settings option on your PS4, click on Bluetooth Devices. 
  • Choose your headset and check if you’re able to play yur favorite games with it.

2. Wired Headset:

  • Connect your Bluetooth headset with the controlled audio cable that has an in-built mic. 
  • Turn on the headset and try connecting it with your PS4 through the Bluetooth option under PS4 settings. 
  • Choose your device and navigate to Audio Devices. Select your headset connected to the controlled as the output device. 
  • Set the volume accordingly. 
  • Select the output to Headphones and click all audio.

3. Connect Headset with USB Adapter:

  • Insert the headset SUB in the PS4 USB slot.

  • Manage the Volume control and select the output to Headphones. 
  • After the above click on all audio and see whether the headset is working now. 

Even if this method fails, try this last one. 

4. Dongle to Connect Headset:

This is another method that allows you to connect unsupported Bluetooth to PS4. To try this method, you will need a wireless headset and a dongle. 

  • Put in your wireless mic. In the USB slot of PS4 insert the Dongle. 
  • Turn on both the Dongle and the headset and wait for them to connect. 
  • Once the connection is made following the same steps as followed above. 
  • Check whether the Headset is working now.
