How to Pair and Program Your Xfinity Voice Remote?

To work with your TV and audio/video (AV) receiver, such as a soundbar or other audio equipment, you can Pair and Program Your Xfinity Voice Remote. Controlling Your TV or Audio Device Using Your Voice Remote

If the XR15 Voice Remote for X1 or Flex does not have a Setup button but does have number buttons:

Step 1: Turn on the television.

Step 2: For five seconds, press and hold the Xfinity and Mute buttons simultaneously until the top light switches from red to green.

Step 3: Enter the first five digits of the TV manufacturer's code.

The code is accurate if the remote light blinks green twice.
The code is wrong if the remote light blinks red then green.

Step 4: Press the Power button on the remote while aiming it at the TV.

Turn it back on if the TV goes off and double-check that the Volume and Mute buttons are working.
Try the following code if the TV doesn't turn off.

If it doesn't have a Setup button and no number buttons (like the XR16 Voice Remote for Flex), perform the following:

Step 1: Check to see if your TV and TV Box are both turned on.

Step 2: Remove the pull tab on the back of the remote to activate it.

Step 3: Press the Microphone (Voice) button on the remote while aiming it at the TV Box.

Step 5: If you've previously paired your remote for voice and need to program it to operate your TV, press and hold the Microphone (Voice) button while saying, "Program remote." The Remote Settings menu also has access to the remote programming instructions.

Perform a factory reset if you're still having problems (XR16 Voice Remote for Flex without number buttons):

Step 1: Press and hold the Info I and Home (house icon) buttons simultaneously until the status light on the remote blinks. It takes roughly 5 seconds to do this task.

Step 2: To perform a factory reset, press Power, then Last (<- arrow), then Volume Down (-) on your remote in that order. After that, you can try pairing your XR16 Flex remote again.

Step 1: On your Apple or Android smartphone, open the Xfinity My Account app.

Step 2: Select your TV Box, then Setup a Remote from the TV icon.
