How To Reset White-Rodgers Thermostat Effortlessly In Seconds?

It is perhaps a very terrible experience when your room heating equipment goes off in chilling winters. I myself faced a similar situation, which I got a solution for when I reset White-Rodgers Thermostat. While troubleshooting,

I came to know this technical snag is largely concerned with setting-related parameters that can probably be fixed by streamlining different settings appropriately.

So, here is a simple ready reference guide as to how you can look into this issue from multiple perspectives and reset the Thermostat as the situation warrants.

Method 1 - Streamlining Factory Settings

To begin with, switch on your White-Rodgers Thermostat and follow the procedure enunciated below.

Step 1 - Press the Up and Down arrow keys along with the Time button for a few seconds.

Step 2 – Continue pressing the buttons simultaneously till the time display of White-Rodgers goes blank and comes back. This process may take 15-20 seconds.

Step 3 – After the action discussed in Step 1 and Step 2 has been taken, your White-Rodgers Thermostat is configured.

Step 4 – Now you should program your White-Rodgers Thermostat discussed in Step 5 mentioned below.

Step 5 – As the very first step of programming your White-Rodgers Thermostat, you should press the Set Time key. Now use the Up and Down keys to set the hour and minutes.

Press the Time button again to set the year, month, and date as well. Now press “Run Program” to confirm and execute the latest configured settings.

Step 6 – You should now reconfigure the heating program. To set the heating program, align the thermostat to the HEAT option. After this press the PRGM button to set the temperature for a given heating duration. Now set the Time using the arrows and finally Run the program.

Step 7 - Going forward you can also set your own cooling program by pressing the Cool option under System. Now again press the PRGM key to adjust the cooling periods using Up and Down arrows. Adjust the Time settings to set the time at which the cooling program must begin. Finally, press RUN to execute the program.

Method 2 – Reconfiguring Factory Settings Under Another Method

There is yet another way to reset White-Rodgers Thermostat. This is all about running your Thermostat on heat mode.

Step 1 – When you are pressing Up and Down arrows on a prolonged basis, change over the system from Off to Heat mode.

Step 2 – As a consequence of the above action, the digital screen panel must turn to blank followed by its reappearance.

Step 3 – Apparently, the system settings have been reset and you may now follow the same process as mentioned in steps 5 and 6 above under Method 1 for programming your White-Rodgers Thermostat.
