You can enable Alexa parental controls by using the Alexa app for iOS, Android, or Fire tablets. Therefore, you must turn on free time parental controls for every Alexa device individually.
Step 1: Select Devices.
Step 2: Choose Echo and Alexa.
Step 3: Select the device for which you want to enable the parental controls.
Step 4: Go down and select FreeTime.
Step 5: Select the toggle switch below FreeTiime. In order to turn off parental controls on a device, you are required to go back to the FreeTime screen and select the Toggle switch below FreeTime.
Step 6: Select the option of set up Amazon FreeTime.
Step 7: Enter the gender of your child, name of your child, date of birth, select a profile picture and then select Add Child.
Step 8: Choose Add Child for adding more kid profiles or select Continue.
Step 9: Select Continue one more time to grant the required permission.
Step 10: Enter your Amazon account's password and then select Sign in.
Step 11: Choose I agree to give parental consent.
Step 12: After that, select Continue.
Step 13: Select the option of Start your one-month free trial for setting up a FreeTime Unlimited Account or select Cancel.
Step 14: Select the X given at the upper-right corner for going back to your Alexa settings.
You can also kid-proof Alexa by applying methods other than FreeTime controls.
Turn on your Explicit filter: This will not allow Alexa to play any explicit music by going to your Amazon Music settings.
Disable Drop-in: Power off Alexa Drop-in to stop your kid from making calls using an Echo device.
Enable the do not disturb option and set up the do not disturb mode of Alexa for blocking incoming calls and notifications.

Step 1: Log in to your Alexa app on your mobile phone.
Step 2: Choose Devices and then go to "Echo & Alexa".

You can easily turn on the DND mode using the Alexa app. Launch the Alexa app and carry out the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Go to the Hamburger menu given at the top-left corner of your screen.
Step 2: Tap Settings.
Step 3: Select Device Settings.
Step 4: Search for and select the device on which you wish to set this mode.
Step 5: Go down and select the "Do not Disturb" option.
Step 6: After that, move the toggle to the right on your Do not disturb screen.
Step 7: Now, do not disturb is finally selected on your device. Carry out the same steps to slide the scheduled toggle button to the turn-off mode.
