Amazon and Google went into a battle over what to show on their devices and what now to show on their devices. This lead to a dispute regarding the services used by the consumers. Google stopped access YouTube on the Alexa devices.

Why Google Stopped Access of YouTube on Alexa Devices?

The war started when Amazon launched its Fire TV Stick. After launching the Fire Stick. Amazon stopped selling the competitor Google’s Chromecast, as it was directly competing with the Fire TV Stick.

When Google got the news about Amazon not selling the Chromecast, it replied by banning YouTube from Amazon Alexa devices. So all the Amazon Echo Show, cannot show YouTube Now. When Amazon got that news, it must do something.

So, How to setup YouTube on Alexa Echo Show:

After Google blocked the access of YouTube from Echo Show, Amazon must do something so that it’s consumers can use YouTube again.

Step 1 : For that, you need to first identify which version of Amazon Echo Show you are using.

Step 2 : This step is not as hard as this is a different device and not like a TV or Microwave.

Step 3 : If you have a new version of Echo Show, then it’s very simple to decide which version of Echo Show you have. If you have an older version of Echo then you need to be sure that it is updated to the latest version.

If the Echo Show is an an Older Version or You want to Check for Updates You Need to Do This:

Swipe it down
Then tap on the option of settings
Then choose Device options
After that tap on Update the Software.
After your selection, the device will start updating automatically.

After the device is updated you have two options through which you can access YouTube. The First option is Amazon browser called as silk. Just say “Alexa, open Silk”. The assistant will open the Silk Browser. When the browser starts you will some bookmarks. Now tap on YouTube bookmark and YouTube will open.

The second option is to open YouTube through the Firefox browser. For YouTube you have to say “Alexa, open YouTube” or “Alexa, open Firefox” and YouTube will launch in Firefox.
